The Nintendo Miitomo mobile game was announced last year and was supposed to be launched by the end of 2015, but it seems that Nintendo decided that they would delay it to 2016, but when in 2016, you ask? According to Nintendo’s recent earnings call, the company announced that the game will be released in March.

In fact, gamers who are interested in getting their hands on the game will be able to pre-register their interest in it come 17th of February. Miitomo will be an interesting game as it will be pretty different from the games Nintendo has launched in the past. For starters, it will be more of a social game and will not feature any characters that gamers are familiar with.

To be fair, since we haven’t played the game it’s hard to say if it will be success or not, but it’s safe to say that many had assumed that Nintendo would have chosen something more familiar with at the start. That being said, the good news is that as we reported yesterday, Nintendo did promise that for its second game, they will be bringing a very familiar character.

Nintendo is expected to release a bunch of games from this year till next year, so hopefully we will start seeing more popular characters from their franchises be part of those launches.
