YouTube remains free for everybody as long as they don’t mind seeing advertisements, however, there’s an option for those who want an ad-free experience with some other features. YouTube Red was launched last year and aside from removing ads and providing new features it’s also going to give subscribers access to original content. It has been confirmed today that four YouTube Red original shows will debut on February 10th.

The YouTube Red subscription program is only available to customers in the United States and only subscribers will be able to stream the four new original shows. Those who don’t subscribe to YouTube Red can purchase those shows either through YouTube or the Google Play Store, depending upon their location.

The original series include Scare PewDiePie which is a comedy-thriller series featuring one of the biggest stars on YouTube, a teen musical called Dance Camp, documentary A Trip to Unicorn Island and a Rooster Teeth comedy called Lazer Team.

“And these series and movies are just the beginning. We have lots more thrills, chills, LOLs, smiles, romances and surprises from more of your favorite YouTube stars coming later this year,” writes Susanne Daniels, Global Head of Original Content at YouTube.

There’s a new YouTube Red Originals channel where one can view the latest clips, trailers and teasers for the upcoming series. Users in countries where YouTube Red is not available can get more information about the availability of these original series here.
