twitter logoA couple of years ago, Facebook launched an app called Stickered that basically allows users to add stickers to their photos. This is similar to what other apps have done such as LINE, and now it looks like Twitter wants in on the feature as well, according to a report from Re/code which has revealed that the social network is testing it out.

The report claims that Twitter is thinking of launching a new product called Stickers that does the same as what we mentioned above, which is to add stickers to photos to help enhance it and make it more “fun”. This is something already offered by Twitter in their celeb-only app Twitter Camera, so we’re guessing that this app will be more for the general public.

So what’s the point of this app other than it being fun? According to Twitter, it will “see how other users from around the world have edited the same photo”. According to a Twitter spokesperson who spoke to Re/code, “We’re always researching potential new ways to make Twitter more expressive.”

Unfortunately it is unclear how far into development the app is and if and when Twitter will release it to the masses, but either way if this is something that you might be interested in, check back with us later to see if there are any updates regarding its availability.
