redmi-3-proEarlier this year, the Xiaomi Redmi 3 was officially announced, which proved to be a pretty decent handset by all accounts. Having said that, it seems that the folks over at Xiaomi could not resist working on a Pro version of the device, which has resulted in what we know as the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro.

Just what would be the difference between the two? Well, it seems that the major separating point between both devices would be the fact that the Redmi 3 Pro will come with a fingerprint sensor for security reasons, as well as 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory right out of the box.

As for the rest of the hardware specifications, they more or less remain similar, as the Redmi 3 Pro will also come with a 5” High Definition display, runs on a Snapdragon 616 chipset, has a 13MP shooter at the back with a 5MP shooter in front for selfie lovers, alongside a 4,100mAh. It will not have Android 6.0 Marshmallow, however, as it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop instead. Other connectivity options will include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and microUSB 2.0, where users can opt for silver, grey and gold shades.

The asking price of $140 after conversion is pretty decent, with the Redmi 3 Pro set to go on sale from April 4 onwards at the Xiaomi Mi Fan Festival.
