Motorola has apologized to its customers today for the delay in honoring warranties. Its apology follows several reports that came out recently revealing that many of the company’s customers were facing issues in have their in-warranty devices replaced. Some even took to social media to voice their concerns. Motorola has admitted fault and has apologized for the entire episode.

In some reports, Motorola was accused of delaying replacements for customers who have an in-warranty smartphone or smartwatch. The delays were said to be as long as several weeks for some customers even though it had promised to replace faulty devices in just a few days.

Acknowledging that it’s experiencing delays at its U.S. repair center which is influencing repair times for customers, the company said that it didn’t have replacement devices available which is why replacements have been delayed. “We are dedicated to the highest quality service and this is not up to our standard of excellence,” said a spokesperson for Motorola.

The statement doesn’t really see how long it’s going to take for the company to fulfill all of the replacement claims that it has received. Apart from the apology, the statement says that the customers should contact the company if they are currently facing an issue with warranty fulfillment, so it can’t be said for sure right now how long it will take Motorola to address this issue.
