fb messenger dropboxSharing Dropbox files from your phone isn’t that hard. You can launch the app, create shareable links and paste them in whichever chat you are in or in email. Granted this isn’t as efficient compared to being able to share the files directly, but the good news is that if you use Facebook Messenger often, things have changed.

Facebook has recently announced that users will now be able to share Dropbox files directly from Facebook Messenger. This means that you will be able to keep chatting and share your files at the same time, as opposed to before where you had to close one app and open the Dropbox app in order to share your files.

According to Facebook, “You can now share your Dropbox photos, videos and files directly from Messenger! This integration provides you with a quick and simple way to share saved vacation photos, home movies and all other Dropbox files, without leaving the Messenger app.” All users will need to do is make sure they have both the Messenger and Dropbox apps installed on their phones.

Stan Chudnovsky, head of product for Messenger adds, “We want people to communicate just the way they want to on Messenger, with everyone they care about. Giving our users the ability to share their Dropbox videos and images in Messenger threads with just a few taps will help them bring more style and personality to those conversations.”
