google keyboard updateGoogle’s default keyboard for Android is a pretty decent keyboard, but maybe it lacks certain features and customization options that other developers might offer. However the good news is that if you do prefer using Google’s default keyboard app but were also hoping for more customizability, you’re in luck.

Google has recently pushed out an update to its keyboard app and one of the new features that Google has introduced is the ability to adjust the height of the keyboard. What this means is that if you find yourself stabbing at the wrong key more often than not, then adjusting the keyboard’s height will allow you to make the keys larger so that your typing will be more precise.

So far it looks like there will be only 5 different height options to choose from, meaning that getting precisely to height/size you want is not possible, but more likely than not you should be able to find a height that will suit your needs on the slider. In addition to adjustable keyboard height, Google has also introduced other new features such as one-handed mode.

There are also some subtle changes, like Google including a number row on the main keyboard screen when you encounter a website that prompts you for your password, meaning that you won’t have to switch back and forth. The update is rolling out in stages so Android users will want to keep an eye out for that.
