It was rumored that Google could be announcing the new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones on the 4th of October. Turns out the rumors were true as Google has officially launched a teaser website and released a teaser video (see above) which more or less confirms that we will be treated to some kind of phone announcement.

In fact Google isn’t even trying to be subtle at this point as the teaser website basically has a silhouette of a phone on it, which we guess is pretty obvious as to what Google has planned for the event. We’re not sure if there are any other announcements that Google will be making at the event, but safe to say that the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones will be one of them.

So far we’ve been treated to a slew of leaks and rumors regarding the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. Most recently a photo surfaced which showed off both phones in all of its glory. We have also heard rumors that the Pixel (the smaller of the two) could be priced at $649 and that there could be financing options.

There are also rumors that says that the Pixel phones could be exclusive to Verizon as far as carrier partners are concerned, but either way with a couple of weeks to go, we guess we won’t have to wait too long to find out which rumors are true and which aren’t.
