robert-downey-jr-in-iron-manIn case you haven’t heard, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg has an AI that he has built for his home. In a way you could think of it as being somewhat similar in concept to what Tony Stark (Iron Man) has for his own home in the Iron Man movies. Recently Zuckerberg posted on Facebook that he was looking for some voice talent for his AI, and guess who responded?

Yup as per the title, it seems that actor Robert Downey Jr. has volunteered to voice the AI for Zuckerberg’s home AI. In case you don’t know, Downey Jr. is the actor that plays Iron Man in the Marvel cinematic universe, along with other notable roles such as Sherlock Holmes. Now whether or not Downey Jr. was just kidding is an entirely different story (we’re thinking that he was probably joking), but how epic would that be?

According to his reply to Zuckerberg’s post, “I’ll do in a heartbeat if Bettany gets paid and donates it to a cause of Cumberbatch’s choosing…that’s the right kind of STRANGE!” Some other replies to the post have suggested that Zuckerberg should hire Paul Bettany who was the original voice of Jarvis in the Iron Man movies, but we guess that would have been too obvious, but what do you guys think? Would you love to have a home AI system that feels like Iron Man is right in your living room?
