amazon-music-unlimitedLast month Amazon announced a new music streaming service called Amazon Music Unlimited. For those unfamiliar, the service is a new service that is separate from Prime Music, and the upside is that it is also available to non-Prime members, which hopefully will allow it to better compete against the likes of Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal.

The good news is that if you don’t live in the US, you’ll be pleased to learn that Music Unlimited has since expanded beyond the US borders and has made its way to the UK where it will be priced at £9.99 a month for non-Prime members, and £7.99 for those who are subscribed to the company’s Prime service. This pretty much puts it on par with Spotify who charges the same amount, but if you are subscribed to Prime then it will be cheaper for you.

For those who plan to use the service only at home, there is the option to use with the Echo or Echo Dot and those plans are priced at £3.99 a month, which is actually pretty affordable, although admittedly rather limited in terms of availability and accessibility. However for those who know their usage habits are pretty much at home, then we guess it’s not such a bad deal.

Amazon will definitely need to start expanding to other countries if they hope to compete with the likes of Apple, Tidal, and Spotify, but for now if you are in the UK you can check out the service if you’re so inclined.
