Nokia confirmed recently that it’s going to make a return to the smartphone market early next year. It’s expected that the company will unveil new devices at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona come February. Rumor has it that the Nokia D1C smartphone is going to be unveiled and the word on the street is that the flagship is actually going to come in two variants, one will have a 5 inch display and the other a 5.5 inch display.

It’s claimed that the 5.5 inch Nokia D1C is going to feature 3GB RAM and a 16 megapixel rear camera while the 5 inch variant is expected to offer 2GB RAM and a 13 megapixel rear camera.

Both smartphones are likely to share many components including but not limited to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 8 megapixel front camera, 16GB onboard storage, and Android 7.0 Nougat. No further details have been revealed at this point in time. From the looks of it, the D1C is shaping up to be a proper mid-range handset.

It’s expected that the Nokia D1C is going to be sold at competitive prices in order to establish a footing in the market. The company hasn’t confirmed as yet the markets in which this Android-powered smartphone is going to be launched initially.

One thing is for sure, though, we’re bound to hear more rumors about this device in the days and weeks to come.
