Sony is one of the many companies that sets up camp at the Consumer Electronics Show every year to show off its new products and 2017 is going to be no different. The company today confirmed when its CES 2017 press conference is going to take place. We can expect Sony to unveil some new devices at the press event, that’s how it has always been. The Sony CES 2017 press conference is going to take place on January 4th, 2017.

Sony has obviously not confirmed anything about what it’s going to talk about during the press conference. The invites sent out today only mention that the Sony CES 2017 press conference is going to take place on January 4th, 2017. It will kick off at 5:00 PM PST at the Sony Booth 17300 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Since the Consumer Electronics Show is limited to members of the industry and the press, the public at large is not allowed to attend the proceedings. However, Sony is going to live stream the event, you will be able to tune into its CES 2017 press conference via Ustream.

Sony has unveiled new smartphones at CES in the past so it’s possible that history might repeat itself next year. Recent reports suggest that the company has a 5.2 inch and a 5.5 inch smartphone in the pipeline, both are said to be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor. It’s possible that Sony might formally announce these smartphones at CES 2017 among other things.
