Sony has officially announced the Sony Prism Collection, a brand-new lineup of PlayStation 5 accessories featuring striking transparent designs. Inspired by the design team’s ambition to highlight the intricate internal craftsmanship of Sony’s hardware, this new collection brings a nostalgic yet modern translucent aesthetic to current-generation gaming setups.

The collection will be available in three distinct color variants: Flare Orange, Emerald Green, and Graphite Gray. Each item in the lineup features a polished glossy finish that lets users peer inside the hardware. The accessories lineup includes both standalone DualSense wireless controllers and matching PS5 console covers, allowing gamers to fully customize their consoles and peripherals with a matching aesthetic theme.

According to Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President of Global Marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment, the project focuses on blending internal engineering visibility with vibrant color aesthetics. The transparent casing provides a clear window into the structural layout of the controllers and console plates, setting it apart from standard solid-color accessories.

Regarding pricing and availability, the Sony Prism Collection is scheduled to roll out globally starting February 4, 2027. Consumers looking to secure the items early can place pre-orders starting November 10, 2026. The recommended retail price for each DualSense wireless controller is set at $84.99 (EUR 84.99 / GBP 74.99), while the matching PS5 console covers will retail for $74.99 (EUR 74.99 / GBP 64.99).

Pre-orders will launch through PlayStation Direct and select participating retailers across supported regions, including the United States, the UK, France, Germany, and other European countries. Due to high expected demand, console covers will be available directly through PlayStation in primary regions and in limited quantities via select partner retailers elsewhere. Regional launch schedules may vary slightly depending on the market.
