black-panther-marvelIt’s been known for a while that Marvel would be making a movie based around the Black Panther character. In fact the character made an appearance in Captain America: Civil War where he got quite a bit of screen time. That being said, the good news is that filming has begun and the official synopsis has been released.

For those wondering about what we can expect in the Black Panther movie, the synopsis reads, “Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King.”

“However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.” Chadwick Boseman will be reprising his role as the king of Wakanda, T’Chlla. It will also see the likes of Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Basset, and we will also be seeing Andy Serkis return for the movie where he will play the villain Ulysses Klaw who first made an appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The Black Panther movie is currently set for a release on the 16th of February, 2018, so it looks like fans of the character will have a bit of waiting to do.
