scalebound
There have been rumors recently about the uncertain future of Scalebound, an Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive title being developed by Platinum Games. The developer has been working on this game for a couple of years now and despite all of the work that has gone into this project, Microsoft today confirmed that Scalebound has been canceled.

The company today confirmed that Platinum Games and Microsoft Studios have decided to go their separate ways and stop development on Scalebound. The company says that while it has great respect for the work that Platinum Games has done, it said that Scalebound has been canceled for purely “business decisions.”

Scalebound was supposed to be an action RPG with a four-player co-op mode. Players would have bonded with giant customizable dragons in the game. The decision to cancel this title might disappoint some because Scalebound was the only known “AAA” Action RPG in Microsoft Studios’ exclusive lineup, at least for now.

“After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for “Scalebound.” We’re working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year,” it said in an official statement.

The 2017 exclusive lineup is something to look forward to, though, with new titles like Halo Wars 2, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, and others in the pipeline.
