With Facebook acquiring Oculus and launching the Oculus Rift and their support for 360-degree photos and videos, we guess it is pretty obvious that the social network is looking into virtual reality (VR) technology as possibly the next big thing. In fact just recently the company launched its first dedicated VR app in the form of Facebook 360.

While 360-degree photos and videos do appear from time-to-time on the social network’s website, this app is meant to act as a hub for them. This means that you will be able to find all the VR content posted onto its website in a single location, thus saving you time from having to search manually.

According to Facebook, “With more than 25 million 360 photos and more than 1 million 360 videos posted on Facebook to date, there’s plenty of great content to discover in Facebook 360. The app is a one-stop shop for catching up on what you may have missed from your friends and others you follow, diving into the 360 photos and videos you’ve saved, and finding something new to enjoy.”

Users within the app will be able to react to the content like they normally would. As it stands the app is available for the Samsung Gear VR (which was helped developed in part by Oculus) so all you have to do is launch the Oculus app and search for the app and you’re good to go.
