A new report claims that Samsung has started development on the Galaxy C10 and Galaxy C10 Plus handsets. This particular series has largely been restricted to certain markets but it has proven to be a hit there. No wonder Samsung wants to follow up on that success by releasing new models with updated specifications.

The predecessors, Samsung Galaxy C9 and C9 Pro, came with very impressive specifications even though they are technically mid-range smartphones. Samsung is expected to continue with this tradition with the Galaxy C10 and C10 Plus as well.

There’s no information available about the specifications of these new handsets in the report as yet but they’re likely to come with 6GB of RAM. That’s something that Samsung offers with handsets in select markets to ensure that its handsets remain ahead of the competition at least in the numbers game.

Samsung normally releases the Galaxy C series handsets in China and India so it remains to be seen if the company decides to release the new models in additional markets across the globe or if the new handsets will also be limited to the markets already mentioned.

Expect more information to come up about the Galaxy C10 and C10 Plus in the coming days. The handsets themselves might arrive at some point later this year.
