A lot has already been rumored about the LG V30. It’s going to be the company’s second flagship smartphone for 2017 and many expect it to perform better in the market than the LG G6 did. While LG hasn’t said anything about this device so far, if a new report is to be believed, the company is going to launch this smartphone ahead of schedule.

LG launched the V20 in September last year so it could be reasonably expected that the company was going to stick with that launch timeline for the successor as well. However, that’s not what the latest report will have you believe. It suggests that the LG V30 will be out a full month earlier.

The report claims that LG is going to launch the V30 in August this year. The reason for that hasn’t been detailed in the report but it could presumably be to preempt the Galaxy Note 8 which is also due to be launched around the same time.

It’s even claimed that LG is going to bring forward the launch of the LG G7 next year from February to January 2018. The company usually launches new G flagships at the Mobile World Congress but it may decide to launch the next-generation G flagship in January.

None of this has been officially confirmed by LG as yet so nothing is set in stone so far.
