If you logged into your Instagram account only to find yourself logged out and your account seemingly deleted, there is a chance that you might be encountering a bug. In the last 24 hours or so, Instagram users have been reaching out to the company via Twitter to ask for an explanation over the seemingly deletion of their accounts.

However like we said, there is a good chance that this could be a bug. Instagram has since confirmed to The Verge in a statement that they are aware of the issue and are working to resolve the problem ASAP. “We’re aware of a bug that is causing some users to be logged out of their accounts. We’re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”

For those who are lucky enough to not encounter the bug, basically when users try to access certain profiles, it reads, “Sorry, this page isn’t available,” which suggests that it might have been deleted. Some users are also seeing, “Your account has been disabled for violating our terms. Learn how you may be able to restore your account.”

We’re not sure how widespread this issue is or how the bug is triggered, but hopefully those accounts that have been affected will be restored soon, especially since it appears that some of these accounts are businesses.
