So we know that LG has confirmed that at the end of the month, they will be taking the wraps off their latest smartphone in the form of the LG V30. Given that LG has released a new V-series phone every year for the past few years, this news did not really come as a surprise, but it seems that we could be getting more than what we asked for this year.

In a recent tweet by the ever-reliable leakster Evan Blass, it seems that LG could have another phone in the works called the LG V30+. Unfortunately apart from the name of the phone, not much else is known about the handset, but based on previous “Plus” devices that we’ve seen launch from other manufacturers, there’s a good chance that this could simply be a slightly larger version of the LG V30 (like the Galaxy S8+ and iPhone 7 Plus).

However previous reports have speculated that the LG V30+ could be a variant of the phone with different hardware specs, such as maybe more RAM and maybe more storage, although we’re not sure if adding more RAM/storage really warrants a new name. We’re not sure if the handset will be announced alongside the LG V30 at the end of August, or if it could see a separate launch date, but either way hopefully we’ll have additional details soon, and also remember to check back with us on the 31st of August for all the official details.
