#IFA2017, #ShowStoppersIFA – Most 3D Printers use colored materials, which mean that you purchase a base material of a particular color. Printers have some trays that allow them to use more than one color at any given time. However, there is still a pretty strict limit. The da Vinci Color 3D printer aims to change all this for the better.

The XYZPrinting da Vinci Color 3D printer takes in a white filament (printing material), then colors it just before it is printed and dried. It uses CMYK ink cartridges, similarly to what regular paper color printers do. Because of this, it can reproduce a vast array of colors, 16 Million, according to the manufacturer. This changes everything.

At IFA 2017, we had our hands on one of the demo units, and we came away quite impressed with the capabilities of the da Vinci Color 3D Printer. Better yet, this printer can do it at very reasonable price of $2999.95 (direct) to $3499.95 (MSRP).

The build volume of this 3D printer is 7.9 in x 7.9 in x 5.9, and the printer is compact enough to be on a desk. It integrates previously demonstrated features such as hands-free auto calibration, EZ removable print bed, a 5-inch color LCD screen and a non-toxic filtration system.

The ability to 3D-print in millions of color should be a major time (and money) saver for people who need cost-effective realistic models done quickly and efficiently. You can follow the official IFA 2017 page on the XYZPrinting site.
