With every major iOS release, Apple touts various improvements made to speed and performance as one of the reasons why users should update. If you’re wondering about that yourself, the folks at EverythingApplePro have put together a video that demonstrates the speed of iOS 11 compared to the previous release, iOS 10.3.3.

The best part is that the speed test is conducted across all the iPhones, or at least all iPhones that are eligible for the update. This means that even if you’re using an older iPhone, you should be able to see how iOS 11 handles compared to the previous iOS 10.3.3 update, and whether or not it is worth upgrading.

Now right off the bat it is obvious that iOS 11 performs the best on the newer devices like the iPhone 7, simply because the handset features more RAM and also a new quad-core processor. However interestingly enough despite being tested on older devices like the iPhone SE, it seems that while iOS 11 will lag in some areas compared to iOS 10.3.3, the differences aren’t too obvious, meaning that it isn’t as if your phone would end up being completely unusable.

Of course your mileage may vary depending on the condition of your phone and the type of apps you plan to do and the features you want to take advantage of, but either watch the video above and decide for yourself whether or not the new features and changes in iOS 11 is worth updating to.
