Samsung, a leader in mobile VR technology, has teamed up with energy drink company Red Bull to create VR content. Red Bull sponsors almost every other extreme sport on the planet as part of its marketing strategy so it’s the perfect partner that Samsung can get to work with in order to create some amazing VR content.

Red Bull will create VR content on its own by supporting athletes as part of its Rulebreakers campaign. Red Bull athletes will be able to make the most of this partnership between the two companies. This campaign is going to inspire people to push beyond their limits and achieve their true capabilities.

Extreme kitesurfers Ruben Lenten and Breakdancer Jeffrey Verschoor are taking part in this campaign. That campaign will run side by side with Samsung’s #DoWhatYouCan’t campaign. This is an international appeal on the company’s part to young creatives across the globe to show what they’re good at.

“With DoWhatYouCan’t let us see that there’s no need for a smartphone, an internet connection and a good idea to build your empire,” said Gerben van Walt Meijer, Marketing Manager Mobile at Samsung Netherlands.

The companies haven’t announced as yet when we can expect to see the first batch of VR content from them, probably later this year.
