For the most part Twitch streamer pages tend to look the same. What streamers can do to differentiate their pages is in the video itself, where depending on the software they use, they can add various widgets, banners, graphics, and so on, although this is limited to the video itself as the page will remain largely unchanged.

However that will be changing soon because at PAX West, Twitch has announced that soon streamers will be able to customize their page. This means that streamers will be getting access to third-party tools and extensions that they can use to interact with their followers, and developers will also be able to create their own plug-ins for their own use.

As it stands there are over twenty extensions available, and this ranges from overlays, follower leaderboards, and even customized leaderboards designed specifically for certain games, like Hearthstone, Overwatch, and more. There are even extensions that link to Amazon where streamers will be able to earn a commission through Amazon’s Associates program, which is another way for viewers to help support their favorite streamers.

No word on when all these extensions are expected to go live, but if you are a streamer then these are definitely features to look forward to.
