If you’re someone who loves chatting using emojis, you might be interested to learn that Apple has announced that with iOS 11.1, the company will be introducing hundreds of new emojis that users can play around with. iOS 11.1 is expected to be the next major update to iOS 11, but there is no word on when it will be released.

According to Apple, “The new emoji are designed to reveal every detail and adapted from approved characters in Unicode 10. iOS 11.1 will also include characters announced on World Emoji Day like Woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person, Breastfeeding, Zombie, Person in Lotus Position and new food items such as Sandwich and Coconut. Also included in the update is the Love-You Gesture, designed after the “I love you” hand sign in American Sign Language.”

For developers and those part of the public beta program, these new emojis are expected to make an appearance next week, but for those who aren’t, like we said there is no set release date yet, but it is believed that it could be released alongside the iPhone X which is currently set for a release on the 3rd of November.

iOS 11.1 should also bring about various fixes and improvements to the operating system. Apple has so far released two updates which are meant to deal with some bugs and issues, but there are still a few problems that have yet to be addressed, like battery life, that hopefully iOS 11.1 will be able to deal with.
