[CES 2018] Recently Amazon announced that they would be releasing tools to help expand Alexa’s availability into more devices, and it seems that ASUS will be one of the companies taking Amazon up on their offer. The company has recently confirmed at CES 2018 that their upcoming 2018 ZenBook and VivoBook laptops will feature support for the digital assistant.

According to Steve Rabuchin, Vice President, Amazon Alexa, “Voice is a natural interface for interacting with technology and can make everyday tasks simpler. We’re delighted that ASUS will bring the Alexa experience to its laptop models – providing hands-free voice capabilities, and tens of thousands of skills, to PC customers at their desks and on-the-go.”

ASUS hasn’t confirmed which particular models will gain support for Alexa, but they did state that select models will and that further announcements are expected to be made in the first half of 2018, so we guess we’ll just have to wait until ASUS announces it then. So far Amazon seems to have a pretty good start with Alexa, more so than Apple or Google did with their digital assistants back in the day.

Amazon had recently confirmed that the Echo Dot was the best-selling product on Amazon during the holiday season, encompassing all product categories.
