As is the case with most developers selling apps, you can find screenshots of the app you’re about to purchase in app stores like that of the iTunes App Store. However in case you didn’t realize, Apple had put a limit on the number of screenshots that users could upload to just five, but now it looks like the limit has since been increased.

This is according to a change on the Apple Developer page (via AppleInsider) in which Apple notes, “You can now display up to 10 screenshots on your product page on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV, to show customers more of your app’s experience.” Whether or not this will have a positive or negative impact remains to be seen, but developers who are hoping to give their users a better idea of what to expect in terms of their purchase will now have better means to do so.

As it stands there are some developers who do post actual screenshots on their app, while others try to create a collage of images that acts as a promo, which sometimes might not necessarily be the most accurate representation of their apps. That being said, video previews of apps are still limited to a maximum of three clips, and it is unclear if that will be changing anytime soon.
