HTC is expected to launch the successor to the HTC U11 soon and a new report claims that the HTC U12 specs will include Qualcomm’s latest flagship mobile processor as well as a dual camera system at the back. The expected HTC U12 specs won’t really come as a surprise to anyone since they’re what you would expect a flagship smartphone in 2018 to feature.

Well known HTC insider LlabTooFeR, who has been right on many accounts in the past, has tweeted a list of HTC U12 specifications which include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor with RAM and storage options of up to 6GB and 256GB.

The list also includes a 5.99 inch Quad HD+ display, a 3,420mAh battery, IP68 water and dust resistance rating, Android 8.0 Oreo with HTC’s Sense 10 UI, full support for Google’s Project Treble for swift Android updates, and Edge Sense 2.0.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the device is said to feature a 12 megapixel + 16 megapixel dual camera system at the back with an 8 megapixel camera on the front. There may even be an “HTC Face Unlock” feature which the name suggests would be HTC’s take on facial recognition.

The insider also mentions that the HTC U12 might be released “somewhere in April,” and if that’s true then it may not be long before HTC officially unveils this handset.
