If you’re looking forward to playing more racing games on your Nintendo Switch, it appears that someone at Walmart might have gotten ahead of themselves and posted a listing for Team Sonic Racing, an upcoming racing game from SEGA featuring none other than Sonic. The game isn’t exactly a secret as we have been hearing about it for a while, but we reckon SEGA would have preferred to announce it themselves.

That being said, now that the cat (or hedgehog) has been let out of the bag, what can we expect? According to the game’s description on the listing, “Team Sonic Racing combines the best elements of arcade and fast-paced competitive style racing as you face-off with friends in intense multiplayer racing. Race together and work together as a team by sharing power-ups and speed boosts. Take control of your racing style – Choose from 3 distinct character types and unlock game-changing vehicle customization options to suit your racing style. Speed up. Gear Up Team Racing at Sonic Speed!”

It will feature online and local multiplayer modes where players can race against each other or race as teams. There will also be various customization options, along with Wisps which are attacking/defending items that players can use on each other. There will also be an Adventure Mode that brings a story to the game.

So far the game is only listed for the Nintendo Switch, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it were to make its way onto other platforms as well.
