The official OnePlus Software Maintenance Schedule confirms that there will be two years of regular software updates from the release date of the device. This includes the T variants of its smartphones as well.

The updates that are released during these two years will feature Android versions, Android security patches, new features, and bug fixes. All OnePlus handsets will also receive three years of Android security patch updates which will be released every two months.

The OnePlus Software Maintenance Schedule is now in effect and it applies to the OnePlus 3 and 3T, OnePlus 5 and 5T, and the OnePlus 6. It will obviously apply to any and all smartphones that the company releases in the future as well.

The company also revealed on its forums today that it has started publishing the last open beta build for the OnePlus 3 and 3T. It’s going to release a stable version for beta testers by the start of July. Per the new schedule, these devices will continue to receive regular OTA updates until November 2018 in addition to one year of extended Android security patches.
