OnePlus has officially introduced the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro in China, a premium tablet closely derived from the OnePlus Pad 4 but tailored with minor adjustments for the domestic market. This new release features significant upgrades in display, processing power, and battery capacity over its predecessors.
Display and Audio Specifications
The OnePlus Pad 3 Pro is equipped with a 13.2-inch LCD screen featuring a 3,392 x 2,400-pixel resolution and a 7:5 aspect ratio. Designed for high responsiveness and visual clarity, it supports a 144Hz refresh rate, a 540Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The display provides precise color rendering and includes support for Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid. For media consumption, the tablet integrates an eight-speaker audio system. It also supports productivity accessories, including an optional keyboard case and a stylus that leverages AI to convert handwritten notes into structured mind maps and tables.
Hardware and Performance
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This processor delivers a 20% increase in CPU performance and a 23% faster GPU compared to the original 8 Elite chip used in the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, resulting in a 52% higher AnTuTu benchmark score while maintaining lower power consumption.
Battery and Charging
The tablet features a substantial 13,380mAh battery, a notable upgrade from the 9,520mAh capacity of the original Chinese Pad 3 and the 12,140mAh battery found in the global variant. It supports 67W SuperVOOC wired charging, which is slightly lower than the 80W charging speed available on the OnePlus Pad 4.
Pricing and Availability
Available in Dark Brown and Light Green, the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro is offered in three storage configurations:
- 12GB / 256GB: CNY 4,400 (~$650)
- 12GB / 512GB: CNY 4,900 (~$725)
- 16GB / 512GB: CNY 5,400 (~$800)
The retail package in China includes a charger and a USB-A to USB-C cable. While currently exclusive to the Chinese Oppo online store, an international release remains possible given the global availability of previous Pro models.
