Several days ago, Blizzard teased that the Summer Games would be making a return to Overwatch. The good news for those who have been looking forward to it is that the games are now live, meaning that if you already over a copy of Overwatch, all you’ll need to do is fire up the game and you’ll be able to take part in it.

According to Blizzard, “The Summer Games return for more fun in the sun! This year, we’re celebrating the spirit of competition with a new Lúcioball arena and a smörgåsbord of loot. Unlock over 50 new seasonal items—including legendary skins like Waveracer D.Va, Fastball Zenyatta, and Cabana Ana—alongside our growing collection of summer gear from previous years.”

This year’s games will be based around Busan in South Korea, which as we noted in the past could be Blizzard’s way of tipping their hats towards their ardent Overwatch playerbase in Korea. As expected the games will bring about a bunch of new skins that players will be able to win via the game’s loot boxes. It seems that every hero will be getting a skin of their own, so you’ll probably need to play a lot and get lucky if you hope to unlock all of them. The games will run from the 9th of August until the 30th of August, so you’ll have a little less than a month to take part in it.
