Well, the POSTCN01 counts the number of times the mail flap has been opened, and the LCD display (which would be located inside your home) would display that information, letting you know how much letters or packages have been delivered. It’s not all that expensive at $55, especially if you’re too lazy to walk to check your snail mail all the time. If you’ve ditched snail mail and gone fully digital, this is probably redundant to you, aside from being a nice ornament.
