Death Valley puts out tech bait

Death Valley park rangers will attempt to lure a new generation of Americans to explore the great outdoors by laying down some technological bait, where the vast national park on the California-Nevada borders are now being enhanced by a portable device dubbed the “GPS Ranger”. The GPS Ranger can be rented by visitors for $19.95, to be fixed to the dashboard of their vehicle before exploring the massive 3,000 square-mile park. Each time a major landmark comes into view, the GPS Ranger’s display will come alive, providing a video commentary to shed more detail. Sounds somewhat like the first instalment of Jurassic Park in the movies, minus the dinosaurs. Do you think this move will actually bring more people to visit national parks?
