Nobody wants to get caught in an avalanche, that’s for sure, but here’s a device that could go some ways in increasing your chances of survival – the AvaJacket is but a safety vest that comes with an integrated mouthpiece, helping filter fresher air from below in order to avoid the wearer from breathing in one’s own exhales which can be pretty dangerous when you’re buried under tons of snow. In addition, the AvaJacket doubles up as an airbag that protects the neck while creating a pocket in the snow around the head for a greater degree of movement. Can’t wait to see this concept take off the manufacturing lines in the near future.
