You’ve been waiting for it, and now it’s finally arrived. Sprint has just launched its 4G WiMAX network in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sprint touts the network as being able to offer mobile web browsing up to 10 times faster than a 3G service and it will initially be available in San Francisco, San Jose, Palo Alto and Oakland. Nationwide, folks are already enjoying Sprint’s 4G network in various markets such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago and more. Of course, to enjoy the increased speeds, you’ll need a 4G-compatible phone, such as the HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G, both of which are already available and you can check out our detailed reviews on those phones to help you decide if you should part with your hard-earned cash.
