Among the two notable companies that are interested in snapping up Twitter would be Google and Facebook, with both of them already having held low level takeover talks with Twitter which could have resulted in a valuation as high as $10 billion, at least that is what the Wall Street Journal is reporting. Just last December, microblogging site Twitter raised another $200 million in financing in a deal that valued it at $3.7 billion. To date, Twitter has more than 175 million users, and until search giant Google and social networking king Facebook divulge more information, no further comments are forthcoming.
