HTC Merge official press shots leaked

The HTC Merge might be finally released soon. After being officially announced in February, the device surfaced again to pay a visit to the FCC last month, and now it’s being leaked again in official press shots. Though this time around – the phone has been branded with Verizon’s logo. Unsurprising since Verizon’s already got a CDMA world phone and the whole reddish color scheme of the Merge goes very well with Verizon anyway. Nicknamed the “CDMA Desire Z”, the phone packs a similar slide-out QWERTY keyboard and shares the same body shape. The HTC Merge should be available anytime now, with this week as a possible release date. Stay tuned for more details.

Android: Android is the mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. HTC: High Tech Computer Corporation (HTC) is a Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones and tablets. The company started as an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) that was building devices for others, but went on making HTC-branded smartphones based mostly on Microsoft's Windows operating system (OS) for mobile. In 2009, it began to shift its core focus away from Windows mobile devices to Android-based ones. In 2010 the company went back to the Windows Phone eco-system.

Verizon: Verizon Communications Inc is a broadband and telecommunications company. It is mainly known for its Verizon Wireless division which is the largest wireless carrier in the United States, and one of the largest in the world.
