Turtle Beach clearly intends to stamp its foot down in the video gaming peripheral industry with their latest release, the X12 gaming headset that will be compatible with both the Xbox 360 and PC. Just what kind of performance is the X12 capable of delivering for your ears? How about its huge 50mm speakers for starters, giving you enhanced audio immersion while the In-line Amplifier is perfect for precision audio control right at your fingertips. The inclusion of Microphone Monitoring and Variable Bass Boost will also enhance your listening experience – and Turtle Beach claims you won’t burn a hole in your pocket either.

While the Ear Force X12 was originally designed for the Xbox 360 console, it will also play nice with the PC. The X12 is but a logical procession of the tried and true X1 and X11, coming in a rugged but lightweight frame. You can play for hours on end without suffering from sore ears thanks to the wonderful design, and since it is juiced up via USB, the X12 needs no batteries. The downside to that? It is wired.

This is one of the few headsets that are fully-compatible with the DSS 7.1 Surround Sound Processor, arriving in the market this fall for $59.95.
