Heads up! Pardon the pun, but NEC’s latest Head Mounted Display (HMD) solution comes in the form of the Tele Scouter, where it is tipped to ship slightly after Christmas is over in the Land of the Rising Sun. Just what does the Tele Scouter offer? For starters, this so-called professional tool will include the actual HMD solution as well as a very small Windows Embedded CE 6.0 terminal that allows you to access a computer remotely as well as its operating system.

The HMD segment of the Tele Scooter will feature SVGA resolution (that is pretty dismal at 800 × 600 pixels), although for a HMD it ain’t half bad. A 500MHz ARM CPU runs proceedings from within, where it is aided by 256MB RAM and 2GB of internal memory. Connectivity options comprise of Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and Wi-Fi, while a microSD memory card slot allows you to further augment the amount of storage space.

Heck, there is even a webcam built-in, although we have no word on the resolution count.
