NEC recently announced their Lavie Pro Mobile laptop with a 13.3-inch display. If you’re after a laptop with a slightly larger display that also maintains its light and mobile form factor, then you might be interested to learn that NEC has also announced another laptop in the form of the NEC Lavie Vega.

One of the main differences is that with the Lavie Vega has a 15.6-inch 4K display, but at the same time despite it being a bigger laptop, it will still be slim enough to fit inside of a bag where it measures 14.17 x 9.61 x 0.73 inches and weighs 4.06lbs, making it light enough to bring it around with you all day without causing too much of a burden.

As for the specs of the laptop, we’re looking at the use of an Intel Core i7-9750H processor and will come with 8GB of DDR4 RAM. There will also be 32GB of Intel Optane memory and a 512GB Intel QLD 3D NAND SSD. It will also feature the use of Intel’s UHD Graphics 630 GPU, so if you wanted to use it for gaming, then maybe this isn’t the laptop for you, but it should be good enough for students and business users.

A cool feature of the laptop is that the Lavie logo on the back of the laptop’s lid also doubles up as a Cortana smart speaker that can even work while the laptop is asleep. The NEC Lavie Vega is priced starting at $2,100 and will be available in March.
