One of the reasons why quite a number of people are reluctant to try a different operating system when it comes to getting a new phone is due to all the money invested into the current platform. After all, why would you want to re-buy apps on a different platform when you’ve already spent money on them right? Well, Microsoft is hoping to alleviate these issues with its latest promotion. According to a post on the Windows Phone blog – through the end the year, anybody who buys a new Windows Phone device will get a $25 app card to jump start your new app/game collection.
The offer is only available in the US, and while $25 may not be enough for all of you to re-buy all the apps you need, it’s a good start. What do you think of this promotion? Does it mean you’ll be picking up a Windows Phone device this holiday season?
