LEGO MinecraftWhen Minecraft was first released, people used LEGO to recreate the gaming experience in the real world, so when Mojang announced that it was going to team up with LEGO to create official blocks based on the game, you can imagine how excited people got. Well, if you’re one of those people who have been waiting to get your hands on the official LEGO Minecraft set, the wait is almost over.

According to an announcement on the official Mojang blog, pre-orders for the first LEGO Minecraft set: Micro World are available now. For $34.99, you get four micro-scale LEGO Minecraft Modules, with additional LEGO Minecraft modules, hidden resources, extra pieces for wood, dirt, stone and two “Micro Mobs” – Steve and a creeper. A pretty sweet deal, especially if you love LEGO and Minecraft. Head over to the Jinx store to pre-order your set today, it is expected to ship out in summer 2012.
