What happens when you merge Lego and Minecraft? It is the wet dream of many a fan regardless of which side of the divide you are on. Both companies are said to be collaborating on a bunch of projects together, and after picking up over 10,000 votes on Lego’s CUUSOO site (the place that houses and incubates ideas of future Lego projects), we could very well be looking at a Lego-themed version of the smash hit online game rolling out in due time. According to the official Mojang blog (Minecraft’s creator), “Until now, the project has been in the Lego Review – a stage before product development begins where a LEGO Jury evaluates the idea’s feasibility as a product and makes a decision.”

Guess fanboy power sure works miracles and wonders! We have absolutely no idea on just what the partnership will deliver in the end product, but surely the first instance that rolls off the production line would be Minecraft-inspired sets, and there are also whispers that a Lego spill-over into online gaming is also in the pipeline. Are you stoked yet? Maybe you can share this with the rest of your mates on Lego Rebrick, Lego’s own official online community.
