There are Kickstarter projects, and then there are Kickstarter projects. Here, we have the Brydge that is a unique keyboard case which will let your iPad resemble that of a MacBook Air, albeit it is not going to be that slim as the actual MacBook Air, of course. Right now, the Brydge project needs $90,000 to be a reality, and with 39 more days to go, there is still some ways left to go considering just $3,550 has been pledged to far. One thing that you should be aware of before keeping your fingers crossed that the Brydge would be turned into reality – at the end of the day, you will still be using an iPad, albeit with a keyboard attached to it, so do not get any ideas that this will transform your iPad into a MacBook Air experience in any way.

Aesthetically speaking, the Brydge does seem to have many design cues that hail from Cupertino, including aerospace-grade aluminum for that added bit of sheen and durability and optional stereo speakers. How does the Brydge hook up to your iPad? It relies on a patent-pending hinge, where this click-in hinge enables the Brydge to achieve close to 180 degrees of iPad positioning while ensuring your iPad remains secure.

The speakers remain optional since it will raise the final sticker price by a bit if it was made mandatory. Hooking up to your iPad via Bluetooth, this means there is no need to worry about wires or plugs wherever you are.
