We do know that Mass Effect 3 has proved to be quite the hit ever since it was released, although there are certain quarters who are not too happy with the way the game ended, with BioWare addressing the situation via some free downloadable content later this summer. Well, here is news that would make Mass Effect 3 fans happy – the Mass Effect 3: Resurgence Pack will be hitting the PSN (PlayStation Network) next Tuesday (which is April 10th), and obviously, any expansion pack worth its salt will feature a bunch of new weapons, characters, and maps amongst others.

This new multiplayer pack will feature a couple of new maps, and they can be played right after you have completed the downloading process. You had best get used to the names Firebase Condor and Firebase Hydra, as they ought to be pretty popular by the time next Tuesday arrives. Not only that, new multiplayer characters will be thrown into the mix, where each class will be on the receiving end of a new character which can be unlocked via the Reinforcement Pack system.

There will also be a couple of new races for you to choose from, and they are the Batarian and Geth. The Batarian allows you to swing your assault rifle like a baseball bat, clubbing enemies on the head and across the face, while the Geth are far more subtle, where engaging Hunter Mode allows you to spot enemies through walls, sneakily creeping up behind them and stabbing them in the back. The other multiplayer characters would be the Asari Justicar Adept, Batarian Soldier, Batarian Sentinel, Geth Engineer and Krogan Battlemaster Vanguard.

Obviously, having new characters would not be as much fun if they had old weapons to fool around with, which is why new weapons have been thrown into the mixed, and these are unlocked via reinforcement packs. The new weapons would comprise of the Striker Assault Rifle, the Kishock Harpoon Gun, and the Geth Plasma SMG.
