Adding to the stream of Samsung Galaxy S3 news is a prototype of the next Galaxy smartphone that was allegedly photographed and posted on the Chinese forum Mobile01. Unfortunately, the actual post has been removed. Judging from the photo, it appears that the device has a plastic rim which is there to conceal the phone’s new sleek design and form factor. Looking closer, we observe that the testing unit has a slightly larger menu button compared to that of the stock Android 4.0.

Also, the positioning of the multitasking and back buttons appears to have been swapped for some reason. But we’re a bit doubtful about the dummy. After all, it’s not the real thing and most likely, the hardware isn’t exactly the same as that of the original device that we will be seeing next month in London. Furthermore, it’s interesting to see how Samsung will balance TouchWiz and Ice Cream Sandwich with the Samsung Galaxy S3’s rumored advanced hardware capabilities. Anyway, we’ll keep you updated.
