Remember when you were a kid and you used tin cans and a string to “talk” to your other friends? If you miss those days, you might be interested to learn that you will be able to relive them thanks to a Kickstarter project dubbed Talk to the Can. However fret not as the “technology” has since been updated and will now be compatible with your smartphone, tablets and computers. The device comes in a variety of sizes and will plug into your device via the 3.5mm audio jack or to your computer via its USB port.

Similar to back in the day where your tin can double as a receiver and a transmitter for your voice, the Can will also do the same and pull double duty as a speaker and microphone that you will be able to use to conduct your VoIP calls. Just expect to receive a ton of stares if you plan to use it while walking down the street. If you’re interested in helping the Talk to the Can Kickstarter project kick off, head on over to its website for the details or to pledge a donation. So, any takers?
