pages manager

When Facebook released the standalone Messenger application, I for one was happy, because it meant that I didn’t need to have the main application running while I received and sent out messages to my friends through the side application. Now it looks like Facebook has added yet another application to its arsenal with the latest one being called “Pages Manager” for iPhones. The app apparently seems to function just like the main Facebook mobile application but most of the features on it are said to be dedicated to fan pages.

In addition to that it is said to showcase some new features including ‘Insights’ by Facebook itself which is used to track analytics data. What that basically means is that users will be able to keep an eye of the exact number of people that share your page and the total number of people who have been exposed to your brand through the page in question.  For now, iPhones in New Zealand have received the alleged application and if the information is accurate, it will be out in the US “soon”. Is it just me or would this be perfect for businesses or someone like a DJ who is looking to be just a little more popular on his Facebook site?
