Do you not own a credit card? Or would you rather not have it linked to an online account in case someone gets their hands on it and misuses it? If either situation describes you and you’re a subscriber on Sprint’s network, well you’ll be pleased to learn that you will now be able to charge your digital content purchases to your phone’s account. This pretty much encompasses the Google Play store and will cover purchases from apps, to music, movies and e-books.

For those unfamiliar, carrier billing is where your digital purchases are charged to your monthly phone bill as opposed to using a credit/debit card. This is a viable option for those who aren’t eligible for credit cards or for those who’d rather not use their card for online purchases. In case you missed our earlier coverage, this feature was announced about two weeks ago and T-Mobile is another carrier where carrier billing has been enabled for Google Play content purchases.
